Treat the whole area.
All work primarily by taking out the queen. Once the queen is no longer producing new Fire Ant workers, the mound collapses. This can take 4-8 weeks but be patient as these baits are very effective and inexpensive.
How to Apply: Apply 1 to 3 times a year when Fire Ants are foraging for food. The Fire Ants will recognize the baits as a food source and feed them to the queen thus taking her out of production. Apply only when the Fire Ants are actively foraging because after 48 hours the bait loses most of its effectiveness.

- By the Acre: 1-1.5 lb.
