Molasses

Molasses is an excellent and inexpensive food source to energize the biological life in the soil. Molasses is sugar, sugar is Carbon, and Carbon is the building block of all life.

Microbes must have Carbon to reproduce. Molasses contains much more than just Carbon. You also get Sulfur, Iron, Natural Minerals, Enzymes, Nitrogen, Potassium, Magnesium, and B-Vitamins.

Other interesting notes on Molasses:

  • Molasses is very useful in maintaining and strengthening all turfgrasses and ornamentals because the simple sugars in Molasses immediately energize the plants (extremely important during the Summer when plant respiration is very rapid). Apply as a foliar spray.
  • Pest insects do not like Molasses
